Juvenile Crime Indicator – 2009 – 6,824 petitions filed

This figure was provided by JEMS staff.  JEMS data is populated by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s system (CRIMES) when that office files the petition.  The number reflects all (not just felony) petitions filed for the year.  The numbers were generated by district and exclude intra and interstate cases:

#1 = 5,430

#2 = 56

#3 = 120

#4 = 105

#5 = 80

#6 = 1,033
